About Me

My name is Dr. Andy DeVos. I'm a Baltimore-based educator, content creator, historian, and speaker working to empower the next generation of leaders through education and mentorship.

I currently hold the post of Lecturer in the Department of American Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

My interactive workshops invite participants to explore contemporary social justice issues through the lens of history. With over two decades of teaching and public speaking experience, I leverage my eclectic background to foster a deeper and more empathic view of contemporary social, economic, and racial divides.

What I Do

I facilitate dynamic, research-based workshops for both private and public organizations on a broad array of topics, including:

  • the history and future of US race relations

  • diversity, equity, & inclusivity

  • K-12 educational program research

I strive to help participants understand the present via the past in order to develop empathy and a thirst for meaningful change.
